It was the perfect day to hold a pool party, with Gunnedah Shire Council working with headspace to provide music, food and games as the sun beat down.

Mums and bubs stuck to the kids water play area, while teens showed off their somersault and diving skills in the 50-metre pool.

The wind from an incoming storm provided some welcome relief  as the afternoon wore on.

On Wednesday, Gunnedah kids did activities at the library and headed to Tamworth to visit The Youthie.
