Heads were shaved, money was raised and the Namoi Valley Independent was there.

A NUMBER of Gunnedah High School staff and students felt the breeze a little more keenly than usual over the weekend after braving the shave on Friday.
Students Lucy Lincoln and Abbey Copus and teacher Joshua Fletcher were among those who emerged with shaved heads, while student Lianna Block swapped her long locks for a short look.

Others had their hair coloured.
The lunchtime event was held to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation as part of the World’s Greatest Shave.
Mr Fletcher said the school raised close to $2000.
“It was fantastic,” he said.
“I’m really proud of the school and the community support.”
