Wolseley Park was filled with camping chairs and picnic rugs as locals settled in for a night of entertainment.
Long-time supporters Plains Pipes and Drums, and Gunnedah Shire Band struck a good note, and local schools, including St Xavier’s Primary School and Mullaley Public School, brought colour and song to the stage.
The kids enjoyed a puppet show and glowsticks supplied by the Gunnedah Salvation Army. The Rotary Club of Gunnedah West fired up the barbie and Gunnedah Baptist Church sold steak sandwiches.
Holy Smokes Fireworks was back on board again this year, setting off a brilliant display.
Santa also popped in, bringing bags of lollies for the youngsters.
Carols in the Park is run by Gunnedah Ministers Fraternal.
