One showing only of the documentary Backtrack Boys will be held at the Civic at 6.30pm. Backtrack Boys features the rough-talking, free-wheeling jackaroo, Bernie Shakeshaft, and the youth program he runs from a shed on the outskirts of Armidale, NSW. CLAYWORKS PAST AND PRESENT
The opening of the Gunnedah Pottery Club exhibition Clayworks Past and Present will be at 6pm at the Gunnedah Bicentennial Creative Arts Gallery. The exhibition will continue until January 14. A collection of beautifully hand-crafted potted arts works. This exhibition will showcase some of the works developed through workshops as well as many works created by the club at their workshops held in the Gunnedah Pottery Shed at the Gunnedah Showgrounds.

Sunburnt Treasures is hosting a market day from 9am. There will be stallholders with lots of treasures set up in front of the shop. All welcome. Come along and find your last-minute Christmas gifts.

AUSTRALIA DAY 2019 AWARD NOMINATIONS
Nominations close Monday, January 7 at 5pm for Gunnedah’s Australia Day awards. The Australia Day Working Group is seeking nominations for people and groups who exhibit good citizenship and community qualities, who have made outstanding contributions and/or had outstanding achievements in their particular areas of interest or endeavours, and who are positive role models in the wider Gunnedah Shire community. In addition to these qualities, each individual award has specific criteria.
