After the success of the inaugural best dressed competition run by the Namoi Valley Independent at the 2017 Gunnedah Jockey Club Christmas Hams Race Day, NVI has decided to run the competition again at this year’s event.
This year there’s an added incentive as well with the Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club coming on board to sponsor the newly-minted Gunnedah Servies best dressed competition.

The winner – which will be decided by the public – will receive a $100 voucher at the Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club.
To enter, all you have to do is wear your best to Saturday’s meeting and be snapped by our photographer on the ground.
A call out will be made over the loudspeaker after the Fashions on the Field for punters to line up to be photographed for the competition.
Our photographers will also be taking snaps throughout the day for the competition.
At last year’s event, Mackenzie Barnes was named the winner with 35.55 per cent of the vote.
In second place was Braie Devine with 20.31 per cent of the vote while third was tied between Dominique Judd and Sophie Priestley tied with 8.2 per cent each.
