Chasing Albion’s first innings total of 8-280, Kookaburras resumed day two at 3-25 with captain Cameron Milne unbeaten overnight.
Milne went on to post a fighting 63 before being clean bowled by Albion captain Brad Jenkinson.
“To be honest, I pretty much just missed the ball that got me out,” Milne said.
“It was one of the funniest, strangest dismissals I’ve had for a few years.
“All of the fielders weren’t quite sure what happened, there was a bit of a groan, then a cheer when they realised it bowled me.”

Kookaburras were eventually dismissed for 136 in their first innings, 144 runs shy of Albion’s first innings total.
Forced to follow on, Milne again proved to be a thorn in Albion’s side, compiling 74 not out before the two sides agreed to call it a day.
When asked if Milne was pleased to have denied Albion an outright victory he said “hell yeah”.
“It was a pretty positive day for us, we only lost nine wickets for the day across the two innings,” he said.
“That’s the second time we have been able to deny one of the top two sides an outright victory.
“The last one was against Court House a few weeks ago and I think is a sign that we are improving as a side.”
Bowling for the first time since a shoulder injury, Jenkinson was the pick of the Albion bowlers in the first innings claiming 4-13, while fellow veteran James Mack chimed in with 4-37.
“I was actually pretty surprised to see Brad bowl to be honest,” Milne said.
“I know his shoulder injury was pretty significant and he would have been in a fair bit of discomfort towards the end of the day.”
Milne said his side would now turn its attention to its next clash against Mornington.
“The main message we have been telling the group so far this summer has been about having the right mindset,” he said.
“Positivity creates good results and that’s what we will be focusing on.
“Take this weekend’s game as an example, last year we would have rolled over and been beaten outright.
“This year we are looking to be more positive and we are seeing better results.”
