The birth of Alexa Grace Mackay was a much-anticipated event for first-time parents Katie Johnson and Jye Mackay.
Gunnedah’s new arrival was born on October 26 at 11.01pm at Gunnedah District Hospital.
At birth, Alexa weighed seven pounds and nine ounces and measured 50 centimetres.
The little poppet is the first great grandchild for William and Rita Hicks of Gunnedah and the first grandchild for Deborah Millerd of Gunnedah and John Cullen of Aberglasslyn.
Alexa is the second great grandchild for Maureen and John Mackay of Clarence Town, and Robyn and Allan McAllistair of Girvan. She is the second grandchild for Leanne Mackay and Jason McAllistair of Curlewis.
