Gunnedah High School is gearing up for its fair on Friday.
The annual event kicks off at 5pm in the school grounds, with heaps of free, fun activities planned.
The new Ninja Warrior course has cash prizes on offer of $50 for fastest seniors and juniors in both male and female categories ($200 in total), plus a foundation membership from CrossFit Gunnedah.
There are lots of new, novelty events this year including a Bat the Rat, Gumboot Toss, Ball Drop, Poker Chip Toss and more. There is also a dunking machine, pillow fights, photo booth, jumping castle, face painting and food and drink stalls.
A drawcard this year is Darwin band VanderAa, with brother Aaron and Levi to perform live during the fair. VanderAa plays “tribal indie roots music” and has performed at festivals including Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival and Burning Man.
The music act’s visit is funded by Gunnedah Shire Council in support of the Gunnedah Community Scholarship Fund.
Admission to the fair is free and entry is via Marquis Street or South Street.
