Two Gunnedah organisations will receive $1000 in the October round of the #GreaterNewEngland funding program.
Blackjack Camera Club and Gunnedah Conservatorium were both runners-up this month, with Tamworth Physie Club taking out the top prize. Winners are determined by popular vote.
The camera club was established by Hayley Hausfeld, Nicki Bronkhorst and Tess Cholson more than three years ago and now has more than 60 members. The club holds monthly in-house photography competitions, tackling a variety of themes, with guest judges deciding on the winners.
The Gunnedah Conservatorium operates under the guidance of a group of dedicated volunteers who offer locals the opportunity to develop skills in singing, dancing, speech and drama, music and musical performance.
Voting is now open for the November funding round with Yallambee Homes for the Aged in the running.
Members of the public have until November 28 to vote for who they think should receive the major funding by visiting greater.com.au/greaternewengland or by dropping in to any Greater Bank branch across the region.
Greater Bank is also calling for nominations for future funding rounds through greater.com.au/greaternewengland or social media by using the hashtag#GreaterNewEngland and detailing in 100 words or less how the organisation is helping to improve lives of locals.
