It was the club’s second last rally for the year, with a fun-filled day of instruction on flat riding, sporting and water games, which proved popular in the summer temperatures.
Chief instructor Guy Thomas travelled from Scone to assess riders at the rally on the skills and knowledge they had gained and developed throughout the year. If they were successful, they received certificates.
December will be the club’s last rally day for the year and also the club Christmas party, with children and horses alike to dress in festive costumes.
Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Boggabri has impressed, winning the small schools section of the Western Plains Cluster heats of Brain Olympia.
The team of students from Years 4-6 travelled to Narrabri to compete at St Francis Xavier School last week and came sixth overall
Joshua Bassett, Genevieve Maunder, Noah Rigelsford, Scarlett Whelan, Himaja Yerrapureddy, Hannah Carney, Molly Rees and Cameron Valks competed with other schools on general knowledge, public speaking, maths problem solving and drama.
Principal Dallas Hyatt was very impressed with the high level of quality from all teams that were represented and was very proud of the students’ efforts.
Sacred Heart qualified for the whole Diocese Small School Final in Narrabri next week but is unable to attend because of a planned excursion to Canberra.
