If you have a favourite book, or a new book that you would like to read that the library doesn’t have, just give the library staff the author and title of the book.
We will either purchase the title or obtain it for you by inter-library loan and let you know when the book is available.
Lots of new titles have been added to the library shelves this week.
New fiction titles include the latest mystery by Jonathan and Jesse Kellerman, A Measure of Darkness, described by Stephen King as “brilliant, page-turning fiction…” and an FBI thriller Paradox by Catherine Coulter.
Fans of historical fiction will enjoy Alison Weir’s Jane Seymour: The Haunted Queen, one of the Six Tudor Queens series.
Also new on the shelves is Raising Girls by Steve Bidduplh, a book about 'helping your daughter to grow up wise, warm and strong'.
Closer to home are a couple of books by Australian authors. The Last of the Bonegilla Girls by Victoria Purman is the story of four girls who make Australia their home after World War II.
You won’t be able to go past a novel of “Discovery. Desire. Deception” by Kayte Nunn, The Botanist’s Daughter, taking the reader from Victorian England to present day Australia.
If you love Oliva Newton-John, you will enjoy “The long-awaited memoir of Australia’s sweetheart” Don’t Stop Believin’.

Armchair and intending travellers will enjoy the Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2018, a little book with plenty of colour photos and handy tips on the top 10 countries, cities, regions, and trends.
It is now the last term of school, and if your child needs a little extra reading help, see the library staff about booking a place for your child in the library’s Bookend program.
Bookings can be made for 20-minute blocks on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.
Children can select books from the library shelves, or bring along their own, and read to seniors who will give help and encouragement and assist with reading skills.
