The North West team – which included students from Gunnedah – came home strong at the New South Wales Combined High Schools Secondary Boys’ Championships last week at Inverell.
The team started the tournament against a strong Hunter lineup and went down 11 (70) to 1 (37).
Next up was Western.
This match-up saw North West grab their first win of the tournament before they went down to North Coast to close out the opening day.
Day two started with a loss to Sydney North before North West went on a run.
With two match-ups remaining on the second day, North West claimed a pair of wins against Sydney East and South Coast.
Just the one game remained on the final day against Riverina.
And North West kept their run going to make it four wins from seven starts.
