Year 9, 10 and 11 students at St Mary’s College have been using their lessons to make biscuits and slices, which are then delivered to Gordon and Barry Co where a corner has been set up with sweets and hot drinks for rural customers. There are even packaged treats to take home.
It’s a bid to give farmers a repast from the drought when they come into town and has been in place for a month.
Food technology teacher Monique Hannaford said Sister Christine Belling was behind the idea and it was a small “gesture” to support farmers.
