A biennial event, Schools on Stage brings together children of all ages, combining colour and costumes with music and song.

The massed choir, which combines students from numerous schools, performed a number of items under the tutelage of co-directors Jamie Brown and Emma Kersley. Individual schools also performed a variety of items and students from multiple schools formed a band.

“It was a fantastic event and well supported by the community,” Mr Brown said.

“The kids were fantastic. They sang their hearts out.

“It was great to see kids come together from all the schools to make music.”

Mr Brown said the event was supported by the Gunnedah Eisteddfod Society and is "really important for the performing arts curriculum for schools”.

“We look forward to another brilliant event in two years time,” he said.
