The activities were organised by Aboriginal Education Assistant (AEA) Cathie Wise-Langham, with a flag-raising, smoking ceremony by Len Waters, lullaby by Quarralia Knox and didgeridoo playing by Mark Atkins.
The students were involved in various painting activities, beading, and literacy activities before being taught how to throw the boomerang, spear and nulla nulla.
Whitehaven’s Bob Sutherland and Daryl Campbell joined them to donate a new flagpole to enable the Aboriginal flag to be flown at the school.
