It was another typical drought yarding at Gunnedah saleyards with large numbers of cows and large numbers of young cattle in store condition.
There were no prime trade cattle yarded and only a few well-finished grown heifers.
Most of the regular buyers were operating along with additional restocker support from both northern and southern buyers.
Feeder steers and light weight feeder heifers were up to 12c dearer while the heavier feeder heifers were 5c/kg cheaper.
The feeder steers sold from 210c to 285c, while the feeder heifers sold from 208c to 256c/kg.
The large number of young cattle to the restockers regained the previous sales falls, lifting by 30c to 50c/kg.
The young steers to the restockers sold from 171c to 279c, while the young heifers going back to the paddock sold from 156c to 233c/kg.
The few well-finished grown heifers were dearer, selling from 200c to 245c/kg.
Plain-conditioned cows to the processors were 10c dearer, while the better-finished cows were firm to 3c/kg cheaper.
Two score cows sold from 66c to 175c, while the better 3 and 4 scores sold from 153c to 221c and the prime heavy weights averaged 204c/kg.
Plain-conditioned cows to the restockers were 10c cheaper, selling from 29c to 156c/kg.
Bulls sold to 230c/kg.
