On Thursday, students and staff donned jeans and flannies for Dress like a Farmer Day, with parents voluntarily giving gold coin donations.
Principal Jennifer Honner said the dress-up day was to “raise awareness” of the drought and help those in need. She said the impact of the drought has become a much-talked about topic in the classrooms.
The funds raised on Thursday will go to the Rotary Club of Gunnedah 2380’s drought relief fund.
