It’s been 70 years since the iconic Australian manufacturer started designing and producing quality oil, fuel and grease equipment and almost 40 years since the maker launched the venerable Retracta range of polypropylene industrial hose reels.
It would seem that sitting on the laurels earned through those decades is not what the good folk in Turrella, Sydney are about.
They, together with some innovative thinking, have been busy developing the next generation of products for use in the service and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
The first of those new products (and product ranges) will hit the market in August and deliver an all new generation of the iconic Retracta reel.
Retracta has long been synonymous with durability, longevity and simple Aussie toughness.
The new R3 range carries with it that same DNA but in a sleeker, more modern skin. The clever use of modern materials and techniques together with innovative design assures the new R3 product’s place in this respected lineage
The R3 from Retracta also sports some cool tech with an industry first adjustable control return system.
As the name suggests, the patent pending RACR® (Retracta Adjustable Control Return) system allows the user to control the speed of hose return by adjusting the internal hydraulic valve.
The feature is set to play a huge part in the safe use of these versatile products and will again raise the industry standard for industrial hose reels
Retracta’s new R3 will be offered in three levels of appointment from the Standard R3-S with limited models all in the traditional Macnaught blue case through to the Premium R3-P offering greater fluid applications and case colours to the top of the range Premium Plus models of R3-P+.
The Plus models offer the range and colours of the Premium but with the addition of the new RACR®.
Macnaught has a long history with farming and agriculture in Australia and it is with this long association in mind that the launch of the new Retracta R3 range will be held at this year’s Aquip field days in Gunnedah.
