The cherry on top was the Crusaders doing it in straight sets – 15-11, 15-4, 15-6 – to complete the season without losing a match.
Gunnedah club manager Andrew Formann said the competition was a success and hoped it would grow.
“We have been lucky enough to have six really great teams contesting the comp in the first half of the year,” he said.
“We are looking forward to those teams returning and hopefully growing the comp for the second half of the year.”
The next competition starts on Monday, August 6.

Single players are also welcome to put their name down and if enough people register they can be put in a team together.
