ACTION has been taken by Premer residents following a community meeting designed to restore pride in the streets of Premer last week.

The first initiatives born out of of the meeting began on Thursday, as Liverpool Plains Shire Council workers and residents began to put the Premer Pride Program into affect.
Actions included, the clearing of unwanted items from the villages footpaths and road reserves, as well as the clearing of several vehicles that had been stored illegally.
The program was instigated by requests from the Premer community after consultation with council.
Liverpool Plains Shire Council is requesting locals remove any unwanted vehicles or equipment themselves but will assist any residents who come forward seeking assistance from council.

Program workers will be back in Premer on Thursday to address any issues around noisy pets after the community consultation revealed it was an issue for the community.
Council’s ranger will hold an information session from 10am covering issues such as micro-chipping, pet registration and managing nuisance barking.
