CROP yield optimisation, new sorghum agronomy and irrigation water quality will be some of the key items on the agenda of the next Grains, Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) update.
The Gunnedah Band Hall will play host to a variety of guest speakers who will keep farmers informed of the very latest in farming research.
Featuring guest speakers such as Lindsay Bell and Kirsten Verburg from the CSIRO, the update gives farmers a chance to implement the latest research around popular crops throughout the region.
Also discussed at the meeting, will be the latest results from farming system trials conducted in Narrabri and Spring Ridge.
The findings will be delivered by NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) representatives Andrew Verrell and Jon Baird, and will give strong focus to the gross margins and financial return from the farming system trials.
Registration for the event is $30 per person and $20 for a second person per farm.
The event will run from 8.30m until 3pm with morning tea and lunch included.
