Along with fellow forward Jacob Spackman, the duo had a day out against the under-maned Moree Suns kicking 15 and nine-goals respectively.
For Ewington, the 15-goal haul was a new personal best and fittingly came in his 100th game for the club.
“It was pleasing to get a win more than anything,” Ewington said.
“I was lucky enough to get in the right places and get on the end of a few goals.”

Ewington also brought up his 250th career goal for the Bulldogs during the game.
“This is my second year back after taking five years out from the game,” he said.
“In that space of time, I’ve been lucky enough to play in a premiership, play my 100th game and kick my 250th goal.
“I guess I’m pretty lucky to have come back and had all of this good stuff happen.”
It was a complete performance from the Bulldogs who took only seconds to put their first goal on the scoreboard.
From there players such as, Issac Reeves (four goals), Mitchell Swain (two goals) and Bulldogs captain Ben Maher (two goals), took complete control of the game dominating from the midfield.
The Bulldogs lead all day to bounce back from a disappointing loss in their last game against Inverell on June 16.
The Tasmanian native turned Gunnedah local said the team would take a lot of positives from the victory.
“Everyone was able to get a fair bit of the ball throughout the game,” Ewington said.
“For the forwards, it was nice to get an opportunity to convert some set shots as we have struggled with that in the past.
“For our defenders and midfielders, it was a good day for them to get plenty of the footy and implement some of stuff we have been working on at training.”
The victory will provide the Bulldogs with a percentage boost which may prove critical in securing a top two finish on the ladder and a double chance come finals.
Gunnedah will now look to their clash with an improved Tamworth Swans team at Tamworth’s No.1 oval on Saturday.
