The 10-year-old, who was born with severe allergies, asthma and eczema, has spent days on end in the Starlight room at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
Last year, Jack gave back to the organisation that has been a second home to him by setting up a raffle ticket fundraiser, along with the Spring Ridge Starlight Bush Rally that earned a total of $2500.
This year, Jack and his family hope to raise $5000, with an ever bigger bush rally course and bonfire along with fireworks.
Jack's mum, Kristine, believes with the help of the community, it is certainly achievable.
“They've been amazing, the community, everyone's volunteered to help and they've had some ideas brought forward as well,” Ms Burgess said.
“We've had a lot of people on our Facebook page. We had about 800 just view it, just over the last three days.”

The day’s events plan to kick off at 12pm on Saturday, July 7, followed by a bonfire and then fireworks later that night.
This year, the bush rally will be extended out to a 150km loop, which includes challenges and quizzes along the way.
Ms Burgess also encouraged all families to come along, enter a car and have some fun while raising money for a great cause.
“It's a family event, it's all about family and getting families together and just raising some money for starlight,” she said.
Jack still visits the Starlight room in Newcastle every three months or so to have check ups.
He will soon be trailing a new immunotherapy from Italy, that will attempt to cure both his grass and dust allergies.
