The award’s will be hosted by the Gunnedah and District Chamber of Commerce who are encouraging locals to nominate Gunnedah’s best and brightest businesses for a variety of awards.
Chamber president Stacey Cooke said hosting the annual awards was an important way for the local community to recognise local businesses and staff for a job well done.
“Running a successful business is no small feat,” Mrs Cooke said.
“It takes passion, resilience, hard work and dedication every single day to make it work.
“The awards are a really meaningful way to highlight the efforts of local business and to make sure businesses making an outstanding contribution to their community are recognised and rewarded.”
This year’s awards will consist of 18 different categories including; the quiet achiever award, outstanding employer of choice and excellence in social enterprise.

Mrs Cooke said the awards were a way of maintaining a healthy local business sector.
“This year we want to take the opportunity to recognise the individual efforts of people who provide exceptional service to the community and to their employer and colleagues,” she said.
“These are the people who go above and beyond to deliver a higher level of service and who make doing business in Gunnedah an absolute pleasure.”
Nominations for the awards at 5pm on July 20 with finalists to be announced by the independent judges from the NSW Business Chamber on August 1.
