The Bears were far too strong as they took out a 58-4 victory at Jubilee Oval.
North Tamworth had led 46-4 at half-time as Bears captain-coach Scott Blanch led the decimation.
“We hung off him,” Boggabri coach Shane Rampling said of Blanch.
“You can’t let him do what he wants to.
“We did and he cut us to pieces.”
The coach said it was a disappointing first half after going into the game missing Kialu Brown, Willy Urquhart, Mitch Campbell and Sam Pryor.
“We were missing a few but the first half was disappointing,” Rampling said.
“We weren’t interested and got a reality check.”
He said the Kangaroos were much better in the second half in “keeping them [North Tamworth] to 12 points”.
Hawken Durrant scored the sole try for Boggabri.
In the league tag match, North Tamworth won 64-0 over Boggabri.
The under 18s clash was a much closer affair as the Kangaroos went down 42-16 to the Bears.
