MEMBERS of the Werris Creek community gathered earlier this month to celebrate and honour the work done by the community’s volunteer groups.
More than 20 local volunteers gathered to celebrate and acknowledge their tireless efforts as a part of National Volunteers Week.
The enthusiastic volunteers and community members chose the time-honoured tradition and celebrated the annual event with a morning tea.
Hosted by Liverpool Plains Shire Council and Werris Creek Home Support Service, the morning tea held in Junction Park saw locals enjoy friendly conversation, fresh made cakes and sandwiches and a hot cup of tea.
