Police were called to help direct traffic after a Subaru Forester turned from Conadilly Street onto Marquis Street and struck a traffic light.
A police spokesperson told The Namoi Valley Independent the driver and passenger of the Subaru walked away from the smash unhurt.
Changed traffic conditions remained in place while the car was towed away from the scene.

Council workers also attended the scene to help re-straighten the traffic light with any additional works to be carried out by NSW Roads and Maritime Services at a later date.
Police took the opportunity to remind motorists to drive carefully on our roads and obey all road rules.
