The cuisine of Poland was discussed in preparation of the branch’s International day on Saturday June 16 from 12pm.
The branch has extended an invitation to to other branches in the hopes of having a good turn-out for the event.
Along with sampling some Polish cuisine, the Gunnedah librarian will give a power point presentation on Poland and the local Primary school children have been working on power point presentations and colouring in pictures on Poland.
Branch president Coralie Howe gave some information on the State Conference held at Armidale early this month and the organisation received publicity in the media, both local and city on some of the resolutions presented.
May also saw four new members welcomed to the branch and with current members hoping they find that the CWA will be helpful to them.
The Gunnedah CWA branch meets every second Tuesday in the CWA rooms on Barber Street.

A date was set for the annual Church service.
This will be held in St. Joseph’s Catholic church on Sunday September 9 from 8.30am.
A donation was made to Ronald McDonald house in Tamworth and to the Every Gunnedah Child fundraising appeal to help get the Royal Far West Kids Bus Stop to come to Gunnedah in September with their assessment team for young children with developmental needs.
We had 12 books in the competition and they varied from poetry and fiction to childhood favourites.
Pat Green and Elaine Kennedy were equal 1st and the flower section was equal 1st Amanda Cooper and Elaine Kennedy.
Members are reminded to bring a small plate for morning tea and a gold coin to the next meeting on Thursday 7th June.
This will be in lieu of the Biggest Morning Tea, all donations will be given to the Cancer Council NSW.
Competition for the June meeting will be for a bookmark and for a flower.
