Everyday residents who we all know or have dealt with in day-to-day life took to the stage and dazzled the audience with their talents.
The cast did not disappoint the sold out crowd who were sucked into the story from start to finish.
Throughout the musical, audience members were engrossed in the story while frequently moving in their seats to some of the classic musical numbers.
It was terrific to see all of the different aspects of the show such as the lighting, costumes and music helped drive the story forward at every turn.
The costumes while provocative were wonderfully put together, the lighting played its part by really honing in on the gravity of each characters feelings and drive to succeed.
Musically the band worked harmoniously and hardly missed a beat for the entire show.

Orchestra conductor Emma Kersley expertly lead her charges and the audience were the benefactors as they were dropped straight into the setting.
Musical numbers such as ‘All that jazz’ and ‘We both reach for the gun’ showcased the stellar performances of Alison Stuart as Roxie Hart and Tammy Clark as Velma Kelly.
The two were beautifully funny throughout the show, with the audience hanging off their every word and note and treated to a range of emotions from side-splitting laughter to compassion.
Also a highlight was the performance of Jamie Brown of Amos Hart.
The audience certainly noticed his heartfelt, funny and honest portrayal.
Everyone who graced the stage on Friday night truly shone and brought a memorable and enjoyable aspect to their role.
Truly this show is an achievement of the depth of hard-working talented individuals our community has to offer.
Everyone in attendance on opening night was treated to a memorable experience, and for those who have a ticket for one of the show’s remaining engagements be sure that this is a show that will stick with you for a long time to come.
The show is a true indicator of the talent that exists in our community and I personally applauded all involved in the show for putting on a truly memorable performance.
