Narrabri Shire Council is wrapped with the $47,965 cheque made possible by the state government’s Public Library Infrastructure Grant program.
Narrabri Shire Council mayor Cathy Redding said the funding will see the Boggabri Library modernised with mobile shelving, new furniture and improved technology.
“This grant funding will see the facilities at the Boggabri Library greatly improved, creating a wonderful asset for the community,” she said.
Cr Redding said the improvements will create a more usable space and promote greater use of the library.
“The funded improvements will make Boggabri Library an important community meeting space and allow staff to provide high-quality services to the community,” she said.

Cr Redding said through the local libraries, staff run a range of diverse programs that include tech savvy classes for seniors and robotics and craft activities for children.
“The modern library is more than books - it’s a resource centre for residents,” she said.
“This funding is another positive boost for the town of Boggabri who have already attracted significant funding through the Stronger Country Communities grant and are set to benefit from three other major projects being the Boggabri Caravan Park, Boggabri Childcare Facility and Boggabri Wastewater Treatment Plant.
