Throughout the last few days, local kids of all ages have participated in a wide range of activities including, lazer tag, barista courses and workshops.
A concert at Kitchener Park capped off the celebrations with live performances, a sausage sizzle and giant soccer being among the highlights.
Gunnedah Shire Council’s youth development officer Sewa Emojong said youth week was a great “success”.
“It has been a lot of fun,” Ms Emojong said.
“The kids have had an opportunity to experience so many different things and to really enjoy themselves.
“We have really been impressed with the numbers at each of the events we have held, including booked out lazer tag trips to Tamworth and booked out barista courses as well.”

Ms Emojong said the activities wouldn’t be possible without the help of several sponsors.
“Our sponsors have been fantastic for us,” she said.
“Gunnedah Shire Council, Gunnedah Conservatorium and Rotary Club of Gunnedah West are just a few examples that come to mind of sponsors who made this all happen.
“We want to sincerely thank them, without their help this just wouldn’t have been possible.”
Gunnedah Shire Council’s school holiday program continues next week with highlights including a $5 movie screening of Peter Rabbit.
