Returned servicemen and women and relatives of returned servicemen and women took to the streets of Curlewis to pay their respects to the Anzac tradition.
Following the march, which started at the Commercial Hotel, locals of all ages then gathered at the Curlewis cenotaph to observe a minutes silence and take the Anzac ode.
As well as the official proceedings, community groups and other local organisations laid wreaths to honour the memory the men and women who did not return from war.
The march and morning service followed a dawn service held earlier in the day which saw locals gather and the cenotaph to pay their respect from 5am.
The Namoi Valley Independent will have continuing coverage of Anzac Day celebrations across the shire throughout the day.
