On Tuesday next week, the 22-year-old will be leaving for England to begin a career as a paramedic with the London Ambulance Service.
Mr Kelly told The Namoi Valley Independent he was excited to embrace the challenge of working and living abroad.
“It’s certainly going to be something on a whole new level and something I have never seen before,” Mr Kelly said.
“Initially I will be based in Greenwich in London’s south and I’m eager to see what kinds of challenges that will bring.
“I have never been to the United Kingdom (U.K) before and it’s going to be something beyond anything I have experienced and I am really excited.”
The former St Xavier’s and St Mary’s College student said he had always dreamed of working in the medical field.
“I first heard about the opportunity while I was studying at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst and I was keen to jump at it,” he said.
“Since I can remember I have always wanted to do something in medicine and I’m not sure what it is but something has always excited me about being a paramedic.
“So when I heard there was a push to get more Aussies over to work in the U.K I put my hand up and here we are.”

Mr Kelly said he was looking forward to the experiences working in London would bring.
“I did 140 hours of placement in Tamworth and in Mascot, which has prepared me reasonably well,” he said.
“It was fantastic to get the blend of country and city experiences alongside the terrific paramedics showing me the ropes.
“That blend of experiences and different types of work will help me for sure.”
The Gunnedah local said he wouldn’t be able to pursue the opportunity without the support of his parents Bernard and Jenny.
“Obviously I want to thank my parents and my whole family," he said.
“Without their help and the help of all of my lecturers and fellow paramedics I wouldn’t be where I am right now.”
