MEMBERS of Commonwealth Bank Australia (CBA) branches around the region have donned their colorful wigs, clown makeup and floppy shoes to help raise funds for sick kids.
The fundraising efforts will go towards Humor Foundation which brings sick kids in hospital the treatment of laughter.
Gunnedah CBA personal lender Kristy Bain said it was a day staff look forward to every year.
“We are really supportive of the clown doctors,” Kristy said.
“It’s national event held every year and while it is always a lot of fun it’s also a great way to raise money for a great cause.”
Kristy told The Namoi Valley Independent CBA members from across the country are going all out to raise money for the cause.
“I have a friend who is a manager in South Australia who is fully decked out in her clown gear,” she said.
“Also I know the manager of the West Tamworth branch is dressed as a rodeo clown for today which is awesome as well.
“Here in Gunnedah we are holding two 100 club competitions with all of the proceeds going to support this great cause.”
