PLACES are still available in Gunnedah PCYC’S autumn school holiday program.
After re-launching the program in October 2017, the PCYC has expanded it’s available positions to 60 children for the upcoming holidays.
Gunnedah PCYC club manager Andrew Formann said the club was excited to offer more places to the community.
“At this stage we will be looking to cap our numbers at about 45 kids which is 15 kids more than our summer program, but if we get more interest we are set up for 60 kids,” Mr Formann said.
“It is very exciting to see the program grow from about 10 kids when it re-launched in October to what it is now, it’s great for us to be providing the community with this service.
“The program has certainly exceeded our early expectations and gone from strength to strength, I put that down to the fabulous work of Michelle and our team here at the PCYC.”
Mr Formann told The Namoi Valley Independent there will be a variety of activities for the children throughout the holidays.
“We will have all kinds of different stuff happening,” he said.
“Each day will have a different theme and for example there is a giant games day, a movie day at The Civic and multi-sports day just to name a few.
“Really there will be something for everyone.”

The club will also be offering a multi-sport clinic throughout the first week of the holidays.
“John and Donna Hickey will be running the clinics on the Monday, Wednesday and Friday of the first week of the holidays,” Mr Formann said.
“Those clinics will include a variety of sports such as basketball, triathlon and athletics and are perfect for families looking for short term care for their kids or an energy burn, as the clinics run in the morning.
“As well as the clinics, we will also be offering care on Monday April 30, which is a pupil free day for most of the schools in the area.”
