The election saw Bob Leister return for his 12th term as president. Other committee members elected include vice-presidents Kay Wilson and Col Rosewell, Alan Barker (treasurer), Shirley Coote (assistant), Marie Hobson (secretary/publicity officer), Kathy Mayoh (assistant), Shirley Coote, Esther Underwood, Judy Muggleton (recorders), Col Rosewell, Marie Hobson John Flannery (photo recorders). The patrons are Brian Gregson, Gwyn Jaeger and Dot Buchanan.
In his 11th annual report, Mr Leister said the Water Tower Museum appears to be Gunnedah’s best-kept secret with few locals taking advantage of the magnificent historical display right on their doorstep.
He said the museum had received visits from a number of local schools and touring coaches during the year but it would be good to see more local residents.
New members are welcome to attend the next meeting on Monday, March 19, at 10am, in the Water Tower Museum.
