Parents and family members attended to watch prefects, captains, vice captains and house captains receive their badges.
Relieving principal Nicki Walsh congratulated the students on being chosen.
“To be a good leader, I think it’s about trying to motivate everyone and being a good example,” she told the students.
“It’s not going to be all rainbows and lollipops. There are going to be times when you ask someone to do something and they won’t do it [but if] you keep a smile on your face and your motivation, people will follow you.
“If you can say to yourself, ‘I’ve done the best job I possibly can’, then you know you’ve been a successful leader.”
