The event at the Gunnedah Golf Club raised $1500 for the fund.
Event organiser Gae Swain said the event was “absolutely fantastic”.
“We are very appreciative of everyone who came and played and everyone who helped make the day such a success,” Mrs Swain said.
“The $1500 was raised through raffles run by the Gunnedah Golf Club in the lead up to the event, as well a silent auction and the event itself.
“We are so grateful to the Gunnedah Golf Club for a variety of reasons, the have supported us in so many ways for such a long time.”
Mrs Swain said the funds raised will help local students pursue teritary education.
“The funds raised are enough for another scholarship,” she said.
“It will help get one of our many wonderful applicants into whatever they want to pursue, whether that’s university, TAFE or agricultural college.
“They really are a wonderful group of young people.”
Mornington Butchery also played a major role in hosting the event.
“We also can’t thank Bernie and the team from Mornington Butchery enough for their help in supplying the meat for the event,” Mrs Swain said.
“Along with the Gunnedah Golf Club, Mornington Butchery have been a long time supporter of the Community Scholarship Fund and I know we couldn’t have done it without their help.”
The Community Scholarship Fund will next be hosting a scholarship ceremony at The Civic on January 30.
