The couple made the 343-kilometre journey from Gunnedah to Port Macquarie for their three-week summer holiday.
It marked Pat’s 71st Christmas holiday here, while Rod has visited Port Macquarie over the Christmas break for about 60 years.
“We just love coming here,” Pat said about Port Macquarie.
This time around they noted the wet and stormy weather and the addition of the Kmart development.
Four generations of their family gathered last week.
The Greens plan to continue returning to Port Macquarie for as long as they can.
They stay at Vacation Village.
“There are a lot of regulars at Vacation Village that come here year after year,” Rod said.
