As part of the ANZ’s national tennis hot shots program, Fairfax Public School in Maules Creek was announced as one of the first round recipients and is set to receive a $10,000 grant.

The grant, which includes merchandise, equipment, signage and access to a local ANZ specialist is a part of ANZ’s efforts to help develop local tennis around Australia.

Fairfax Public School will use the grant to repair their damaged fence and upgrade their court which has already helped local children improve their tennis skills as well as encourage their love and enjoyment of the game.

ANZ Group Executive Fred Ohlsson said the organisation was happy to help promote local tennis in Maules Creek.

“We’re delighted to support Fairfax Public School through our community grants program,” Mr Ohlsson said.

“ANZ tennis hot shots enables us to continue our strong support of tennis at all levels right around Australia.”

Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley said his organisation was “grateful” for the support from ANZ.

“We are grateful for ANZ’s ongoing support of tennis and the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots program, and their commitment to growing the game from the grassroots level up,” Mr Tiley said.

Second round entries in the ANZ tennis hot shots grant fundings are open until Wednesday 28 February 2018.
