The Poulos Prize for Christian Leadership:
This award is for a student who displays a caring and respectful attitude to others.
The recipient for 2017 is Grace Jaeger
The ADF Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Award:
This award recognises students who demonstrate leadership and teamwork within both the school and broader community.
This year it is awarded to Stephanie Eveleigh
The Reuben F Scarfe Award for Commitment in Year 11:
This award is given for consistent effort and desire to improve.
This year the award goes to Emmerson Tull
The Kevin Anderson Prize for Consistent effort in Year 10:

The Rita Murphy Memorial Award:
Rita Murphy was the college secretary for 25 years. She treated everyone in the school with the utmost respect, from the rincipal to the most challenging student. In everything she did, she showed the face of Jesus.
The award is presented to a Year 7 girl who exhibits enthusiasm, courtesy and concern for others.
The Rita Murphy Memorial Award for 2017 is awarded to Hollie Bennett.
The Peter Rootes Memorial Award:
Peter Rootes was a Year 7 student who attended the College in the 1970’s. He was tragically drowned while swimming in the river. Each year we remember his enthusiasm and the love of his teachers and friends. This award, which is donated by the Ex-students Association, is presented to a boy in Year 7 who has shown enthusiasm, courtesy and concern for others.

Pierre de Coubertin Award:
The Pierre de Coubertin Award recognises secondary school students who demonstrate values which are consistent with the Olympic Movement through participation in sporting activities.
The award is presented by the Australian Olympic Committee and this year’s winner is Eliza Perkins.
Graham Groth Memorial Award:
This perpetual trophy has been donated by the Groth family in memory of the late Graham Groth who did so much to promote participation in junior sport. The award is to recognise students who participate in sport with a positive attitude.
Graham Groth was a man who encouraged people to play sport for the love of it not just to win. The Award will be given to both a male and female student.
This year’s winners of the award are Stephanie Eveleigh and Thomas Bush.
Most Outstanding Sporting Achievement:
This award is to recognise the single most outstanding achievement in sport by an individual this year. This year’s winner is Miah Bryant
Miah is the current Australian Junior Champion in Horse Trick Riding and the Australian Open Roman Riding Champion. This year she performed at many of the local agricultural shows and rodeos and travelled overseas to compete in the USA as part of the world renowned trick riding team, Riata Ranch Cowboys and Cowgirls.
Blue Ribbon Award:
This award is to recognize the most outstanding male and female athletes in the College. The award acknowledges excellence in a variety of sports rather than an outstanding performance in one sport.
The winners this year are Yasmin Thomas and Jasper Thomas.
The Honour Shield:
The Honour Shield is awarded to the best performing house from all of the year’s sporting competitions – the swimming carnival, the cross country and the athletics carnival. This year there is a new Honour Shield as the previous shield was introduced in 1956 and after 60 years is in need of retirement.
The original shield was donated by the family of Sr Judith Carney and the new shield will be known as the Sisters of Mercy Honour Shield to recognise the legacy of the Sisters of Mercy since 1879.
This year’s winning House of the Sisters of Mercy Honour Shield is Mercy.
