It may have been a short day on the field for Albion on Saturday as they cruised to victory against Mornington, but captain Andy Mack thought there was room for improvement.

Mornington – who only had seven players bat – won the toss, elected to bat and lost Pat Maher (0) early to the bowling of Luke Ryan (2-31).
Nick Willoughby (22) and Stan Gaynor (21) then put on 42 together.
Wickets then fell at regular intervals as Mornington was all out for 76 after 26.4 overs with Will Maggs finishing with the best figures of 2-5.
All in all, Mack was happy but said his bowlers’ radars might need a little refining.
“The wickets were shared around and we fielded OK but we bowled a few too many extras,” Mack said of the 17 wides his side bowled.
“That was a bit disappointing but we bowled enough good balls to keep them to a low score.”
Albion then chased down the runs two wickets down.
Openers Andrew Wright (29) and Nathan Millar (32) did most of the damage to get Albion to 63 before the loss of the first wicket. Mack said it was Millar’s first chance to bat this season and the captain liked what he saw.
“He he hasn’t had the opportunity but he looks more than handy. He hits the ball cleanly,” Mack said.
“We want to bat as deep as we can. Sides like Court House, you know why they win so many games when they bat so deep.”
For Mornington, Harrison Willoughby (1-4) and Prashanth van Houten (1-26) claimed wickets.
