Chasing 136 for victory, Albion will resume at 4-44 – with experienced campaigner Jenkinson 14 not out and teen rookie Will Maggs one not out.
Mack believes that if Albion are to get a measure of revenge for Court House stopping them winning three successive grand finals last season, Jenkinson will probably need to anchor the rest of the innings.
“We’ve got a lot of batting to come and Brad Jenkinson is probably key for us,” Mack said.
“He’s got the experience to probably bat through the majority of the day, or how long it takes to hopefully get the runs.
“He’s probably the big wicket for us. He’s a good technician with the bat. He picks the gaps and tends to get away from you [the opposition].
“He gets ones or twos, and by the time he’s batted a long time, he obviously creeps up on the opposition. He’s looked good every time he’s batted this season, which is really pleasing.
“Obviously with his bowling, him being an exceptional quick, his batting tends to go unnoticed. But he’s probably one of the more equipped batsmen in town. We’re glad to obviously have him on our side now.”
Since joining Albion from Kookaburras this season, Jenkinson, batting at No.4, has scored 21, 41, 60 not out and nine.
In 102 matches, he has a career batting average of 19.96 to go with his outstanding bowling average of 11.96.
