A full card of 12 races will be run on what is the first of several night meetings the club has scheduled.
Club president Geoff Rose said they received over 170 nominations for the meeting, and not for the first time since the track was refurbished had to turn dogs away.
“There’s probably 40 or 50 that missed out,” he said.
“It will be a very good meeting. There’s some very classy dogs.”
One of his picks for the night is William Marmara’s Evie’s Best in race four.
He also likes the locally-trained Ground Swell (Allan Syphers) in the last.
“He’s won seven of his last eight and has drawn the converted one box. He’ll take a power of beating,” he said.
The feature will be the two heats of the Ladbrokes Monthly Medal.
The first four from those will go through to the final on November 12.
They’ve also got two top grade races, which Rose said they haven’t had for eight or 10 months.
Racing starts at 7.15pm.
