The library responds to any requests to obtain material. Just come to the desk with the author and title of the book, and if we don’t have it, we will look at either purchasing the title or getting it for you via inter-library loan – borrowing it from another library that already has it. If the library we borrow it from is a specialist library, such as a university library, there’ll be a small charge to cover postage that needs to be paid.
Lots of new books have been added to the library collection this week and are now available to be borrowed. Among the new titles are Along Country Roads by bestselling Australian author Mandy Magro; the latest Rizzoli and Isles thriller by Tess Gerritsen; and for lovers of historical fiction Philippa Gregory’s latest book, The Last Tudor will be a fascinating read. Fans of Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series will enjoy Seven Stones to Stand or Fall: A Collection of Outlander Short Stories.
For non-fiction readers, the library has received recent donations of cooking books: Detox: Four Detox Plans and more than 100 delicious recipes, published by Women’s Weekly; Fresh and Tasty Puddings & Desserts, which contains “50 exciting recipes” complete with easy directions and mouth-watering photos; Fresh and Tasty Sushi starts from the basics, with lists of ingredients, techniques of preparations, and even instructions on how to fillet flatfish.
All these books are on the shelves and ready to be borrowed.
