Jacob Spackman adds another trophy to his mantelpiece with Frogmore Cup

As many expected, it was a fight between Jacob Spackman and Andrew George for the Frogmore Cup with the former soaring to a 21-vote win for the Gunnedah club’s best and fairest award.

The two Bulldogs finished one-two in the AFL North West best and fairest vote count before repeating the dose in the Frogmore Cup count on Saturday night.

Spackman finished off with 58 votes while skipper George picked up 37.

The Frogmore Cup is calculated by three observers, generally life members and past players, after each game. All three observers give out 3-2-1 player votes.

Ruckman Al Hillard rounded out the podium with young gun Ben Maher – who also picked up the player’s player award – in fourth.

The Bulldogs couldn't get together without performing a rendition of the team song.
