Spring is in the air and the annual open day is on for all communities to enjoy.
It’s free entry to the park, with the usual $11.00 day entry fee waived for those who come to enjoy the day.
Get to Know Keepit highlights what surrounding clubs and organisations have on offer at Lake Keepit with the day promising good weather, sausage sizzles, club demonstrations, displays and flight and sailing simulators for the public to try.
The open day coincides with the NSW Gone Fishing Day at Lake Keepit.
NSW DPI will be running a host of events to celebrate our love of fishing and encourage everyone to get out on the water.
It doesn't matter if you haven't fished before or if you're the keenest of anglers, Gone Fishing Day is for everyone from 9am to 3pm at Lake Keepit.
Last year’s Lake Keepit Open Day saw hundreds converge on the dam, with Lake Keepit Family Fishing Club greeting visitors to the club, while the Soaring Club provided a sausage sizzle, tea and scones for visitors watching gliders launch from the observation area.
Local SES volunteers also carried more than 400 people on 88 trips from one side of the lake to the other throughout the day.
Get to Know Keepit day visitors who head to the park on Sunday and purchase or renew an Annual Day Pass will save 20 per cent.
This comes with a range of benefits, including 20 per cent discount off accommodation for family and friends.
You also receive 10 per cent off purchases at Lake Keepit Kiosk all year round.
The Lake Keepit Open Day kicks of at Inland Water Holiday Parks at Lake Keepit this Sunday.
