The event was hosted by Gunnedah’s Prue Jeffrey to raise funds for Cancer Council NSW.
More than 100 females donned pink of varying shades and enjoyed an evening of $12 cocktails, Tori Etheridge’s photo booth, raffles and an auction. Almost $3000 was raised.
“It was just a fun evening,” Ms Jeffrey said.
“Everyone seemed to get into the swing, using the photo booth; the cocktails were flowing.
“I had a fantastic time.”
Ms Jeffery said many people had contributed to the event.
“Thanks to the boys from Elders [Real Estate] for the auction and our local businesses that got involved.
“A massive thanks for Zac and Josh [at the Courthouse]. Without them, we wouldn’t have had it.
“I’m very appreciative. They’re a great team and it shows.”
Ms Jeffrey said she’d be keen for another Girls Night In.
“A lot of people commented on how fun it was and we should have it next year,” she said.
“If we look at doing it again, I’d love to see more people come.”
Courthouse manager Zac Wheatland said the hotel would be happy to host the event again next year.
“It was a very pleasing turn-out,” he said.
“Everyone got around it. It was good to see.”
