These tournaments were held throughout the Northwest, including in Gunnedah,
Tamworth, Armidale, Glenn Innes, Inverell, Moree and Narrabri also hosted events.
Players accumulate points based on their results at each event.
Players finishing in the top four in the eight under and 21 under, and the top eight players in all other age groups, were invited to compete in the Northwest Champions of Champions, which was held in Tamworth on August 13.
Gunnedah had an outstanding 28 representatives competing at this invitational event.
Congratulations to all players who played in the Tamworth event.
We had some great results from our local players, including winners Lincoln Budden (eight-under boys), Mason Louis (10-under boys), Isabelle Moore (12-under girls) and Aaron Osmond (14-under boys).
The other admirable performances included Amarni Louis (runner-up eight-under girls); Lucas Sardinha (runner-up 10-under boys); Vitorio Sardinha (runner-up 12-under boys); Anna Bishop (runner-up 12-under girls); and Cooper Wilkinson (runner-up 14-under boys).
Luke Bradfield (runner-up 16-under boys) and Stephanie Eveleigh (runner-up 16-under girls) also had fine events.
The next stage for these top players was the Northern NSW Champion of Champions Event in Inverell last weekend.
Players came up against the top players in their respective age groups from the northeastern NSW region.
From there, selected players will compete at the state final in Sydney in November.
Gunnedah players enjoyed success at the Champion of Champions event, including wins to Budden, Louis, Andrew Osmond (18-under and open) and Bishop.
Other notable performances included Vitorio Sardinha (runner-up), Aaron Osmond (third), Lucas Sardinha (fourth) and Wilkinson (fourth).
For the girls, the notable performances included Moore (runner-up), Wilkinson (third) and Shaylee Martin (third 14-under)
Louis received an award for his outstanding achievements throughout the Junior Development Series.
The sate final will comprise of a camp and tournament play.
The National Academy will lead full-day camps for the boys and the girls.
They will be taught new drills and will receive valuable feedback on how to fast track their improvement.
The camps will provide a fun and motivating environment.
