The opening of the 47th Annual Gunnedah Art and Ceramics Exhibition will be held at 6pm on Friday, August 18. The exhibition will run until September 3 and will include a variety of artworks by local artists. Admission to the opening is $15 and includes light refreshments.

AGQUIP
Australia’s largest and premier primary industry field days, Agquip, will be held on Blackjack Road from Tuesday, August 22 to Thursday, August 24. Free admission and free parking. Opening hours are 9am to 5pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 9am to 4pm on Thursday. Come along and check out the many stands and stalls.

COMEDY NIGHT
PRAMS will host Women Like Us, a comedy performance by Mandy Nolan and Ellen Briggs at 7pm on Friday, September 1 at the Civic. The two friends have teamed up to bring two hours of stand up to communities they believe would love a dose of Women Like Us. Tickets for Women Like Us are available through www.trybooking.com.

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM
The Melbourne City Ballet will present a Midsummer Night’s Dream at Gunnedah Town Hall at 4pm on Sunday, September 3. The company will also hold a beginners’ dance workshop at 12pm on Sunday, September 3 for $30, and an intermediate workshop at 1pm on the same day for $50. Tickets for the ballet are $35 concession and $25 under 16, seating with canapes and drinks on arrival is $55. Tickets available from www.thecivic.com.au
